DEADLINE: December 7 (essay must be submitted to Ms. Ewing no later than 4pm on Friday, November 9 – see instructions below) - finalists announced via Facebook on March 6, winners announced via Facebook on April 22

DESCRIPTION: Requires a 750-word essay on the following topic: “How is your religious education influencing your life?” Only one essay per high school may be selected for scholarship consideration. CRJ seniors who would like to participate must submit their essay via email as a Word attachment to Ms. Ewing no later than 4pm on Friday, November 9. The subject line MUST be, “Fireside Catholic Scholarship – Essay.” Essays submitted without following directions or past the deadline will not be read. In addition, please take the time to review and revise your essay before submitting it so that it is senior-level writing; documents turned in with improper spelling or significant grammar and punctuation issues will not be accepted. Essays will be reviewed by an internal committee and CRJ's one scholarship entry will be selected in advance of the December 7 deadline. There is no GPA or test score requirement for this scholarship application; any senior may submit an essay for consideration.
