DESCRIPTION: The ACT Student Champion Award recognizes one student in each state who is tenacious and persistent, no matter the challenge, and is prepared for life after high school with a goal in mind and plan in place. Must meet the following criteria to apply: (1) be a student who has overcome challenges and can articulate education and career actions, (2) must have a composite ACT score of a 22 on a single test date (no super-scoring), and (3) preference will be given to underrepresented and/or first-generation college students.

Requires essay (2000 characters or less, including spaces): Tell us what your future career looks like and how you plan to get there. Response may include:

• Any challenges you overcame on your journey to college and career readiness.

• The skills and people that helped you on this journey.

• Lessons learned from extracurricular activities.
